Paperweights

Paperweights are usually asked to hold something down. Ours have declined the assignment. Each piece is a small study in balance, pairing a quiet stone or polished metal with a collar that keeps the object hovering just above the surface. The result is useful only in the most generous sense: it gives a desk a point of stillness without pretending to be practical. Choose a finish for the room you have, or the room you are slowly making. These are objects for people who notice the space between things, who like a little tension in their materials, and who are happy to let a familiar form become strange. Nothing here needs to be explained before it is enjoyed.
